I'd like to know what you guys thought of the new Halloween special Hacienda Chills. I was genuinely really excited for this one, I loved the theme song takeover that went alongside it, the plot sounded interesting, I went to a party last night and literally dashed to the bus station the second the party was over and dashed into my house because I was genuinely that anxious to watch it as soon as possible, and I really think it is the worst episode so far. That's not to say it's bad per say, I wouldn't even say I strongly hated it, but it's undoubtedly the weakest episode of the series so far even more so than Summer of Ignacio. The story is about a spooky tree in Hacienda Hills that apparently has an evil spirit in it. The episode is about the Primos trying to figure out the truth behind this urban legend. This seemed like it could've been another great Lotlot episode that makes use of all the Primos, but instead it ended up being the most bland and underwhelming episode of the series. It's just a glorified clip show episode. That's it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing but it was true. They hyped up this scary episode of the series that could've been an epic Halloween special, they showed all the best animation in the commercial, and the real episode is nothing special. I don't mind when a show has to do a clip show episode. I get that it's done for budget reasons, especially since this show lost a good amount of the budget since they had to edit out all the uses of Terremoto and such, but why would you make it the Halloween special. That was just so unfair for all the Halloween fans of the show who probably wanted to see the story they'd tell with it. This is the same show that had an episode reference the Chupacabra, and this was all they did? The tree spirit sounds like a golden concept, but they do nothing with it. It just leads to such a basic twist where Tater reveals that the tree was stuffed with a bunch of gifts she got rid of. It wasn't even of any consequence, they forgave her in like two seconds. What was the point if the episode wasn't even gonna focus on it that much, there was nothing in this episode that built up to that conclusion. It just feels so phoned in, like they just didn't try to make an episode that was anything above serviceable. What a waste of time and a waste of a great concept. Again I wouldn’t say that was a bad episode, I wouldn’t even say I really hated it, it just felt really underwhelming and didn’t feel like a necessary episode to make. I honestly would’ve preferred no Halloween episode as opposed to a half baked one. They just reference somewhat haunting events from past episodes and do nothing new with them. What was even the point if it all amounted to nothing? I do plan on doing a ranking of every episode once the season is over, and even though I don’t really hate this episode the disappointment I have for it submits it at the bottom of the list so far. Could there possibly be another episode to dethrone it as the worst? God I hope not. I guess it’s kind of a compliment that this is the closest we’ve had to a “bad episode” so far. At best it's harmless, and at worst it's a glorified clip show and the worst episode so far. But what did you guys think? Do you like it or did you hate it? Let me know what y’all thought down below, I’d like to hear your thoughts on it.

PRIMOS DISCUSSION (SPOILERS)
I personally thought they're relationship was really sweet and I hope we get to see more of these two pretty soon. Alex and Lita could probably make a great song together, I'd love to see that happen.

You know how they changed the town’s name to Hacienda Hills? Well… while watching Summer of Pam with captions on, I noticed a mistake. Tater says “but Hacienda Hills will!” But they forgot to change the old town name to the new one in the captions, so it results in this anomaly.
