Disney Channel is an American cable and satellite television network that is the core product/flagship property of Disney Branded Television, two units of Walt Disney Television, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Disney Channel has a large variety of shows, which includes Primos, and the majority of series from Disney Television Animation.
The network first signed-on the air on April 18, 1983, airing 16 hours a day from 7 AM to 11 PM. By December 7, 1986, the network now airs 24 hours a day, operating at this state since then. By 2001, the first original animated series for the network, The Proud Family, premiered, airing for two seasons and 52 episodes. By 2002. Kim Possible, produced by Disney Television Animation premiered, which was major hit, to the point where the majority of series from Disney Television Animation going forward would be exclusive to this network.
