Nellie Work is the songburst in Summer of El Collab, sung by Tater and Nellie Ramirez Humphrey. Following a little argument that lead into Baby Bud locking the two in the closet, Tater had to force herself to not think up her own way to escape, letting Nellie do all the heavy lifting for once.
Lyrics[]
Nellie: I'm putting one foot in front of the other
Steppin' up, I won't be shrinking, no negative thinking
I won’t be quittin' nah
I'm in the driver's seat
Hey Tater, look at me go
Yeah, yeah
But oh, I feel the pressure
Is this the price you pay for being clever?
Hold up, I gotta focus, gotta measure
Don't know if I can do this on my own
Tater: But know you're not alone
I'm right behind you, so keep going
I'll follow every step you take
Because I know you will lead the way
Both: We're gonna work work
Yeah we'll be workin' together
You in the front front/Me in the front front
I'll back you up/You'll back me up
For whatever whatever come comes
I know you're never ever gonna/You know I'm never ever gonna
Be alone, Nellie Nellie
Keep going, Nellie Nellie
Gonna work work
Look at you leading the way now/Look at me leading the way now
Just like you should should/Just like I should should
You know I got you/I know you got me
But baby you're lookin' good good/But baby I'm lookin' good good
I know you're never ever gonna/You know I'm never ever gonna
Be alone, Nellie Nellie
Keep going, Nellie Nellie
Work work
