"Summer of Hacienda Chills" is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of the first season of Primos, and the thirty-seventh episode overall.
It premiered on October 5, 2024 on Disney Channel, alongside with Summer of Los Bots.
Synopsis
Tater and Lotlot, uncover the reason why the summer has been so spooky.
Plot
LotLot is examining the tree in the backyard and comes to the conclusion that it is the reason behind many of the creepy things that have been happening in Hacienda Hills. She is further perturbed by the tree's roots which have slightly been uprooted. She calls for Tater and the rest of the primos to come out and examine the tree and tells them of what she has found. Everyone is in disbelief until she recalls the events of "Summer of La Muñeca" and her living doll. Tater recalls that LotLot was the one messing with her, but she points out that there were a couple of times where she wasn't the one behind Dolly's machinations.
LotLot further recalls events that happened during the summer such as when Tater was sick during "Summer of La Pijamada" (though that was really just a robot pretending to be her), and the monstrous El Chupacabra, which Tater says was just the Crevasse, though LotLot knows the truth. Cousin Bud admits that he recalls his horrifying transformation into Cousin Buck during the events of "Summer of Breaking Bud", causing him to believe, while Lita points out that they were haunted by the terrifying hammock from "Summer of La Hamaca", which suddenly begins to send chills across the primos, sans Tater.
LotLot concludes that the tree is responding to a misdeed of some kind and that whoever is responsible needs to confess. The tree suddenly spurts out green sap that coats everyone and everything, along with a variety of objects that each of the primos had given Tater. Tater confesses that she has been burying gifts that they have given her, but didn't want to their feelings that she was starting to really bond with them, so she buried the gifts. She apologizes and the rain washes away the sap. The primos forgive Tater and everyone heads inside while LotLot suggests that the horror is not over.
