"Summer of Heart Eyes" is the second segment of the eighteenth episode of the first season of Primos, and the thirty-sixth episode overall.
It released early on September 11, 2024 on Disney+, and officially premiered on September 28, 2024 on Disney Channel, alongside with Summer of Gwenship.
Synopsis
Tater meddles in Lita's love life.
Plot
Tater, in another effort to search for her final form, has plans to hang out with Lita so that she can show her how to play guitar and go to the movies together. However, Tater notices that Lita is nowhere to be found and goes to the primos for help. Scooter and Lucita reveal that Lita has gone to work (it was supposed to be her day off). Not only that, but they have picked up on some odd habits. She goes in earlier, she is giggling a lot on the phone, and she is happier than usual. Tater, Scooter, and Lucita decide to do some investigating to figure out what is going on and head to Quakey's.
The three kids learn that Lita has been hanging out with coworker Alex, and realize that she is in love with them. While Tater is happy for her, Scooter and Lucita reveal that Lita has had a terrible habit of going through breakups. They decide to tail Alex and learn that they are a very nice and helpful person, even stopping to help people learn how to ollie. Tater follows Alex to a flower shop and learns that they are picking up flowers for someone named Mercedes. Tater is shocked and now thinks that Alex is two-timing Lita. As she heads home, Lita reveals her feelings for Alex and promises to take Tater to the movies like she promised.
At the movies, it is revealed that Lita invited Alex as well and Tater angrily confronts her, causing the three of them, along with an eavesdropping Scooter and Lucita, to get kicked out. Lita apologizes for the unexpected invite and Alex reveals that Mercedes is their mother. Tater apologizes for meddling with Lita's love life, and Scooter and Lucita apologize for being too nosey with her relationships. Alex implies that they are interested in Lita and the two decide to pursue a real relationship. As an extra icing on the cake, Tater is amazed to learn that Alex is a fan of Romancimorphs, particularly Capybara.
