"Summer of Los Diez" is the first segment of the third episode of the first season of Primos, and the fifth episode overall.
It released early on July 26, 2024 on Disney+, and officially premiered on July 27, 2024 on Disney Channel, alongside with “Summer of Lit-Tater-Atura”.
Synopsis[]
Tater takes on the challenge of mastering 10 new talents in a single day to earn a spot in the BizKid Magazine.
Plot[]
Tater is stuck watching Cake Island with her primos who are drawn to the reality show's premise. Still not having uncovered what she wants to do on her vision board, she sees an ad for Biz Kid Magazine's 10-under-10. Gordita explains that every year the magazine picks out ten kids who have accomplished something before they reach the age of 10. Tater, who is still 9-years-old, decides that she will find what her talent is and film herself so that she can send it in and get recognized. Gordita agrees to be her camera girl to study her progress, but also because she is assured that Tater will fail in her quest and wants to capture her disappointment.
Tater and Gordita visit Buela and Pop to see if they can get a video camera. Pop, who has finally woken up and has begun flipping tires to improve his body strength, gives them a camera, but tells Tater that she has her whole life to decide what she wants to do with herself. Tater is dissatisfied with this comment and proceeds to go through with her training, failing spectacularly. Tater decides that she will ride a unicycle over the Crevasse while performing a variety of things, having lost her mind, much to her primos' concern. Pop agrees to take all the kids to the Crevasse while giving tater juice to drink.
Tater is clearly afraid of actually performing the stunt as Pop finally tells her to finish her juice so that she can think clearly. He urges her to cease her deranged plan, mainly because they both need to pee and agree to go back. Not wanting to disappoint the primos, Pop agrees to do the exact stunt that Tater wanted to do, surprising everyone. Pop's stunt ends up on Biz Senior Magazine's 7-under-70 where he thanks Tater for the inspiration. Tater, technically, gets on TV, but her head is turned away from the camera and she is identified as "Local Girl", though she is still excited that she got some recognition, which Gordita commends.

Trivia[]
- Many of the BizKid Magazine kids are named after crew members of Primos, including Ainsley Dye, Alayna Cabral, Cassie Zwart, Eddie West, and Silver Paul.
Productions[]
- The Cookita and Lucita versions of this episode, alongside Summer of Lit-Tater-Atura, was leaked online on September 11, 2024, however the links were removed via DMCA a few hours later.
- Like Summer of Tater, the Crevasse is known as the Crack.
- The "Zip the Crevasse" section of the BizKid "10 under 10" ad plays out differently, as the Interstate 15 voice says "BizKid is sponsored by Zipline the Crack", rather than the main ad voice saying "Sponsored by Zip the Crevasse". The primary location of the Crevasse is also labeled "The Crack Shack".
- Like in Summer of La Muñeca, Gordita is depicted with flesh-colored leggings when she gets off Tater's bike on Buela's driveway. This was fixed in the Hacienda version.
- The lipsync and camera movement during the scene where Pop talks about taking years to master doing things was delayed by three frames in the Lucita version, so that Pop's tire doesn't leave the frame at the end of the shot. "But that's part of the fun" was also rerecorded so that Pop says it in English instead of Spanish.
- The first time Tater refers to the Crevasse in the Cookita version, she calls it "The Terremoto Heights Crack".
- Some miscellaneous shots were revised to fix the coloring of Lucita's blush and/or the wires on her hearing aids in the Hacienda version.
- In both versions, Becca Q. Co is specifically credited for voicing Angel, one of Cake Island's contestants, despite Angel herself having no dialogue in the finished episode.
